Visit the impressive site of Tipon, that features amazing set of terraces for farming with an incredible irrigation system, after we continue farther south to Pikillaqta, a pre-inca city built by the Wari Indians about 800 years before the incas.
To finish our day we make a stop to see the church of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas know as the Sistine Chapel of the Americas with its exquisite mural decoration, built at the beginning of the 17h century.
Program itinerary
Day 1: Cusco-Tipon-Pikillaqta-Andahuaylillas-Cusco
Hotel pick-up, drive south of Cusco to explore this little visited area starting at Tipon, afterwards we head to Pikillaqta a major pre-inca city buitl by the wari, ending our day at the Sisitine chapel of the americas Andahuaylillas.
